Foggy morning

Greetings from the Atlantic coast!
Out There Photography is now comfortably settled in with family for a few days in Myrtle Beach, SC. It's very nice to be staying in one place for a while and not having to pack up our gear every morning!
Before we arrived here, we had several very long days of driving, so we weren't taking as many photos as we did out West. However, when we left our campsite in southeastern Kentucky Saturday morning, we were greeted with prime photo-taking conditions.
Below are a few of our favorites from Cumberland Falls State Park and the surrounding area.

Enjoy!

Big Trip...Episode 1

Day five of our big roadtrip is just about over, and we at Out There Photography find ourselves holed up in a motel in Greeley, CO, recharging our batteries (literally and figuratively) and sorting through the over 1,500 photos we've taken so far.  Our trip has taken us through Oregon, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado, and so far we've seen forests, deserts, mountains, plains, rivers, lakes, streams, and much more.  And we still have another month of traveling ahead of us!

Here are a few of our favorite shots we've taken so far:

Lone tree on Summer Lake, OR

Petroglyph site, Nevada

From our campsite, Starvation State Park, UT

Sunset at Starvation State Park, UT

Wheeler Peak, Great Basin National Park

Leamington, UT

Turning aspens, western Colorado

East of the pass near Steamboat Springs, CO

Rocky Mountain National Park
We'll post some more photos the next time we have wi-fi access.  Until then, look for text updates (and maybe a few cell phone pics) of our trip on our Facebook page.

Okay, we couldn't resist putting this one up, too.
Isn't he cute?

Columbia Gorge

Hello, folks!
Well, it's been quite a while since we posted anything on here, but there's a reason for that...two reasons, in fact.
First of all, we spent all of the long weekend up in the Columbia Gorge hanging out with friends, seeing a show, and of course, taking photos (see below). You get a double dose of photos tonight, and I have to say that whittling it down to only six photos was quite a challenge...we had a very successful trip!
The second reason is that, suddenly, we find ourselves less than thirty-six hours from the big, spectacular, epic Out There Photography Road Trip! Where has the time gone? We've been packing and organizing like mad, and will be ready to hit the road bright and early Friday morning.
Our plan is to post photos whenever we have wi-fi access, but we will also be updating our Out There Photography Facebook page via cell phone, so even though we might not be able to post photos every day, you'll at least be able to follow our progress across the country. :)
This will likely be our last post before we hit the road, so the next post will be from...hmmm, guess you'll have to wait and see!

Take care out there, and we'll see you on the road!
